Project Supported by Higher Education Institutions, 2024 - 2025
In this
project, polymer products will be obtained in aqueous and organic media through
the catalysis of 2-aminoanthracene in the presence of hydrogen peroxide
oxidant, either with the presence of Horse Radish Peroxidase (HRP) enzyme and
phosphate buffer or without buffer and enzyme catalysis at room temperature.
The molecular weights, molecular weight distributions, and reaction
efficiencies of the synthesized polymers or oligomers will be determined. The
structure of the obtained polymers or oligomers will be elucidated using
spectral methods such as 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, FT-IR, UV-Vis. Characterization of
monomers and their polymers or oligomers will be conducted through Gel
Permeation Chromatography (GPC), Thermal Gravimetric Analysis (TGA),
Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Cyclical Voltammetry (CV), and
fluorescence analyses, with their electrochemical properties being determined.
The morphological features of the polymers or oligomers will be identified
through SEM analyses. As the synthesized polymers contain anthracene units,
their optical and fluorescence properties will also be determined through
UV-Vis and fluorescence spectrophotometer measurements.
