Abstract

CdS film is deposited by chemical bath depositon (CBD) method on a glass substrate from aqueous solutions. The film is produced at 80° C in 40 minutes. The structural and optical properties are studied by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and UV-VIS -IR spectrophotometer. The resu lts show that the CBD method allows the formation ofCdS film. The energy gap for the film is 2.32 eV.
