Multimedia documents involves some data such as images, text, audio and video. In literature, the information retrieval from multimedia documents via multimedia analysis is an intensive research issue for researchers. Video streams are very complex multimedia data which covers some other multimedia component. In analysis of these data, it can be used both syntactic and semantic structures. Usage of ontologies on video indexing and abstraction issues are increase more and more. The video events can be classified such as simple, composite and complex events. As a results of those, we reviewed in our review study in details the existing ontologies and multimedia ontologies for the Sematic Web and their examples in literature. Also, we reviewed video event analysis and usage of ontologies for semantic video event analysis, and we made a conclusion over example works in literature.
