About

Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Amphibia, Reptilia, Aves Researchers (ÇOMÜ-ARAR) research group specializes in studies on amphibians, reptiles, and bird species. Within this scope, research and projects are conducted on the biology, ecology, and taxonomy of these organisms. Hematology, morphology, osteology, herpetofauna, and avifauna studies have been carried out so far. Our current research focuses on thermal ecology, environmental pollution, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), bird migrations, ecological and ornithological assessments of Wind Energy Plants (WEP) and Solar Energy Plants (SEP). Our team, led by Prof. Dr. Çiğdem GÜL, Prof. Dr. Murat TOSUNOĞLU, and Dr. İbrahim UYSAL, consists of five doctoral students, Bengi BAYCAN, Begüm BORAN, Ceren Nur ÖZGÜL, Didem KURTUL, İbrahim UYSAL, and  one undergraduate student Ege Can DEBRELİ. In total, our team comprises nine individuals.
