Abstract
Inguinal hernia is the most common surgical condition in childhood. Incarcerated inguinal hernia and strangulation of the sac contents are the most important and feared complications. Prematurity is estimated to be a risk factor for incarceration. In this study, a very premature baby weighing 1750 gms who was operated on for incarcerated inguinal hernia and strangulation is presented.
