Özet

The experimental work presented in this paper was aimed at studying the influence of different filling materials on the physical and mechanical properties of Classic Travertine, from Denizli in Turkey. Unfilled core specimens, and specimens filled with cement, mastic, polyester or epoxy, were used as test samples. All samples were tested under uniaxial and trill loading to determine their compressive strength, Young's modulus, Poisson's ratio, cohesion, and internal friction angle. It was observed that different types of filling material improved the physical and mechanical properties of the unfilled travertine at different rates.
