COVID-19 Salgınının Türk Turizmine Etkisi: Seyahat ve Konaklama Endüstrileri Üzerine Değerlendirme

Özet

Covid-19 salgınının pandemiye dönüşmesi tüm dünyada seyahat kısıtlamaları, karantinalar, sosyal mesafe tedbirleri vb. önlemler alınmasını zorunlu kılmıştır. Pandemi, kısa bir süre içerisinde küresel ekonomide ciddi bozulmalara neden olmuştur. Turizm, insan ilişkilerinin yoğun biçimde yaşandığı bir sektördür. Bu nedenle salgından en çok etkilenen sektörlerin başında yer almış; turizm faaliyetleri neredeyse durma noktasına gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada öncelikle Covid-19 salgınının ortaya çıkışından, dünyaya yayılışından ve bu süreçte büyük bir hızla yaşanan toplumsal değişimlerden ve etkilerinden kronolojik olarak bahsedilmiş, pandemi dolayısıyla yaşanan krizin, turizm sektörüne ile seyahat ve konaklama endüstrilerine etkisine dair literatüre yer verilmiştir. Koronavirüsün turizm sektörüne, dolayısıyla da seyahat ve konaklama endüstrisine olan ekonomik etkileri, açıklanan istatistiki veriler dâhilinde tespit edilmeye çalışılmış ve 2020 yılı Haziran ayı itibariyle gelinen mevcut durum ortaya konarak; sektörün 2020 yılı Haziran ayı sonrasına ve pandemi sonrası dönemde yeniden toparlanmasına dair öngörüler değerlendirilerek; çeşitli öneriler geliştirilmiştir

With the Covid-19 epidemic turning into a pandemic, travel restrictions, quarantine precautions, social distancing measures, etc. have become compulsory. The global economy seriously affected negatively by the pandemic in a short time. Tourism is a sector where human relations are intense. For this reason, it is one of the sectors most affected by the epidemic and tourism activities almost came to a halt. In this study, the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic, its spread to the world, the social changes, and its effects experienced in this process were mentioned chronologically. Also, it includes the literature on the impact of the crisis experienced due to the pandemic on the tourism sector, and the travel and accommodation industries. The economic effects of coronavirus on the tourism sector, and hence on the travel and hospitality industry, were tried to be determined within the statistical data announced by revealing the current situation reached as of June 2020. At the same time, by evaluating the predictions about how the tourism sector can recover after June 2020 and in the post-pandemic period; various suggestions were developed.
