This study deals with the structure known as Kadri Baba Lodge (Saka Baba Lodge) located within the borders of Kilitbahir Village of Eceabat District in Canakkale Province. In a recent article on the building, only the name of the building and the tombstones in its cemetery were emphasized. Its architecture and place among Bektashi Lodges have not been emphasized. For this reason, in light of the new data, the study aimed to elucidate the historical process related to the name of the building and to determine its place among the Bektashi lodges in terms of architectural and ornamental features. In this context, the architecture of the building was tried to be analyzed by conducting an archive scan. Since its cemetery has been discussed before, the general situation and tombstones needed to describe the historical process were included in the study. The building is a Bektashi lodge that has been known to exist since the 17th century and was preserved until the first half of the 20th century and then became ruined. It has been understood that the first name of the building, which has been known by various names until today, is “Kadri Baba Zawiyah”. The lodge consists of three main sections: cemetery, shrine, and other units. There are a total of 28 tombs in the Cemetery area, and a total of 27 pieces of tombstones are seen, including 14 headstones, 12 footstones, and a crown. The earliest of these is the stone dated M.1766/1767 (H. 1180) belonging to Saka Baba, who gave his name to the lodge for a period. The one with the latest date is that of Mahmut Efendi dated 1906/1907 (H. 1324). As it is understood from the headstones, 11 of the existing tombstones belong to males and 3 to females. The shrine, which has survived to a large extent, is a square-planned structure. Today, its four walls are standing, its roof has collapsed, and its interior and exterior facades and door have been damaged. According to the images of the old version of the building, the cover system is a pyramidal roof with an octagonal star ceiling plastered from the inside and covered with Turkish-style tile from the outside. The upper elevations of the other units located in the southwest of the shrine were destroyed, and only the walls at the lower elevation remained. As a result of the determinations made in light of the available data, it can be stated that Kadri Baba Lodge consists of rows of structures on both sides of a narrow road instead of gathering around a courtyard due to both the fact that it is located in the countryside and the difficulty and narrowness of the land on which it is located. As a result, Kadri Baba Lodge is one of the important structures of the city in terms of its size and location, reflecting the general characteristics of Bektashi Lodge in terms of plan, materials, and technique.
