Özet

Land consolidation is an activity that serves the purpose of reducing the agricultural structure. Land consolidation based on practices in Turkey is carried out with the mandatory and optional methods. The national spread of the optional method depends on the adoption of consolidation by the majority of agricultural landowners. Fort his, producers must first have information about this activity. Mass media offers great opportunities for the promotion of land consolidation. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effect of radio/television and internet, which are among the mass media, on awareness of land consolidation and their attitudes towards their participation in consolidation. Fort his purpose, a survey was conducted with 346 producers in 19 settlements where land consolidation was carried out in Çanakkale province. Within the scope of the research, it was examined whether there is a statistically significant relationship between the frequency of radio/television listening/watching and internet usage of the producers and their level of awareness about land consolidation before the project and their attitudes towards participation in consolidation. As a result of the study, it has been determined that there is a high level of significant relationship between the frequency of the producers listening to and watching radio/television and their level of awareness about the consolidation activity before the project and their attitudes towards participation in consolidation. On the other hand, no statistically significant relationship was found between the internet usage status of producers and their level of awareness of land consolidation and their attitudes towards participation in consolidation. According to the results of the study, it is recommended to increase the number programs on the benefits of land consolidation on television and radio. In addition, it is thought that it is necessary to extension studies in order to popularize the use of the internet for accessing information.
