Abstract

A simulation study to evaluate phase distribution from two dimensional fringe pattern by introducing the carrier frequencies in two spatial directions, x and y, is presented. The phase distribution is extracted from the optical fringe pattern by using S-transform gradient and S-transform phase methods. Furthermore, a Gaussian white noise is added to the fringe pattern to test the noise immunity of S-transform. The recovered phase distributions both by S-transform gradient method and phase method are compared with the simulated one.
