Two major earthquakes occurred in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey in 2023, and after the earthquake, thousands of people started to live in container cities. It is vital for Turkish citizens to determine the life satisfaction levels of older adults living in these cities, which present many difficulties in terms of housing, and to investigate the factors that may be effective. Although past research has proven the relationships between life satisfaction, death anxiety, and perception of loneliness, there have been few or no studies examining these relationships after the earthquake, taking into account older adults. 274 older adults living in container cities in Kahramanmaraş city constituted the sample of this study. Findings show that the life satisfaction levels of earthquake victims older adults living in the container city are at a medium level. Additionally, both perceptions of loneliness and death anxiety had a negative relationship with life satisfaction. These results show that death anxiety and perception of loneliness are critical indicators in the life satisfaction of older adults living in container cities. It has been suggested that the number of social workers working in the region should be increased and regular follow-up of individuals living in these cities should be carried out. Key words: Death Anxiety, Earthquake, Life Satisfaction, Perception of Loneliness
