Özet

Cladocora caespitosa reef site in the southeast of Çanakkale Strait represents a marine biodiversity hotspot overall the Turkish Straits System (TSS). Recently, this region has been formally protected by the Turkish authorities, and named as Dardanos Coral Marine Reserve -CMPA. Mortality events of C. caespitosa colonies have been observed. These events have been associated with sea water temperature increases and the opportunistic presence of filamentous red algae. Further monitoring of this marine hotspot and a detailed management strategy is needed in order to preserve the first coral marine protected area in the Turkish coasts.la profundidad, y el almacén de carbono, tanto por los flujos como por la tasa de acreción.
