Two-dimensional (2D) steady, incompressible, and electrically conductive Stokes flow in a rectangularly confined
region with lid-driven is considered. After the governing equations of the flow in the region are obtained in the stream
function/vorticity formulation, the finite difference method is used for the solution. Under the magnetic field applied from
different directions, the variation of vortex formation and streamline bifurcations are examined.
