Özet
This study explores the interaction between the body and space, the pivotal role of collective creation, and how an artistic act can transform into knowledge production through a site-specific piece called PRELUDE. The performance took shape at the M. O. Korfmann Library in Çanakkale. The creative process, built on a collective and interdisciplinary approach, explored the physical, historical, and sociocultural layers of the space via the body, intuition, and senses. This text seeks to analyse the methods used in the creative process and their reflections on performance and participants. Conveyed in an autoethnographic voice, the study combines the author's observations with semi-structured actor-audience interviews and examines the collected data in relation to the literature. The interviews revealed a liminal experience, pluralised meaning production, and the site perceived as a vibrant arena where individual and collective memory converge. This article aims to offer methodological contributions to both performing arts and site-based studies by intertwining art and research practices.
