Özet

Ionogels, which are structures containing ionic liquids, are rapidly gaining interest in the biomedical field due to their extraordinary properties, primarily antimicrobial activity and biocompatibility. Unlike ionogels obtained by incorporating ionic liquids into the gel structure, in this study, the ionic liquid was covalently bonded to the three-dimensional network structure of the ionogel. For this purpose, vinylimidazole-based hexasubstituted ionic liquid phosphazene (ISP), synthesized for the first time in this study, was prepared. Following structural characterization, the VI@ISP ionogel was prepared by photopolymerization of ISP, a multicenter crosslinker, and 1-vinylimidazole. Thus, a novel ionogel system containing imidazole rings both at the crosslinking points and in the polymeric chains was prepared. The VI@ISP ionogel, whose structural, morphological, and swelling characterizations were carried out in detail, was used as a drug delivery system for the release of sodium diclofenac (NaDc) and ribonucleic acid (RNA). The drug delivery kinetics of ionogel systems were investigated using multiple models, and their antimicrobial properties were also studied.
