Innovations in the digital age have transformed traditions of social interaction and participation. The internet and digital technology platforms provide people around the world with access to information, debates on global issues and the resolution of social problems. These young generation interaction spaces are referred to as digital public spaces and are believed to play an increasingly important role in our social environment. This paper will present themeaning and historical stages of digital public spaces and discuss their direct impact on social interaction and participation. The pros and cons of digital public spaces will be mentioned and their ability to elicit democratic participation will be discussed. In addition, new strategies and suggestions will be listed for the effective use of digital public spaces and overcoming the challenges that may arise. In this context, the role of digital public spaces in social change processes and democratic practices will be discussed in detail and the potential of these young generation interaction and participation spaces will be speculatedupon.Digital public spaces have become an organic part of society and democratic processes. The way these public spaces are created and managed plays a key role in strengthening social participation and democratic processes. The aim of this paper is to address the opportunities and challenges of digital public spaces and propose a perspective on how digital platforms can become more inclusive and sustainable.
