Özet

On December 14, 2023, a single specimen of red porgy, Pagrus pagrus, was caught around the North Aegean Sea. The sex, total length, total weight, and age of the male individual were determined as 74.5 cm, 8560 g, and 20 years-old, respectively. This individual represents the second maximum length record and the first maximum weight record in the world and the biggest size record for all Mediterraneans.
