Özet

Catalyst design focused on combining acidic properties of the pillared clay (Zr-PILC) and redox properties of appropriately chosen bimetallic dopants. Therefore, Zr-PILC was tailored with the Pd/Pt and Cu/Cr noble and transition metals claimed to highly effective oxidation reaction. Destruction of CVOC by the catalytic oxidation was carried out using trichloroethylene (TCE). Bimetalic Zr-PILC catalyst with different metal contents exhibited high catalytic activity or catalytic combustion of TCE. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the 8th World Congress of Chemical Engineering (Montreal, Quebec, Canada 8/23-27/2009).
