Abstract

This study was carried out in cage system of the faculty of marine sciences and technology of Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University between Agust 2011 and August 2012. This cage was located in the Çanakkale Strait. As result, the specimens that have average 12.03 mm in lenght reach to a lenght of 44.23 mm after 1 year, the heighest value of speci-fic growth rate was observed in September. High rates of growth are based on amount of seston in the environment and the amount of organic mattter of 8.54 mg L-1 is a determi-nant. This study was performed in a culture unit of Seabass (Dicentrarchus labrax L.1758) and fish-mussel integrated systems are curical factors which increase the growth perfor-mance of Mytilus galloprovincialis for this area.
