Türkiye’de gelişen ve yenilenen ekonomik ortamda son yıllardaki göstergeler incelendiğinde
doğal taş sektörünün yakaladığı ivmenin ve toplam maden ihracatındaki payının istikrarlı bir şekilde
arttığı görülmektedir. Bu yakalanan olumlu tablonun devamı için sektörün gelecek projeksiyonu
iyi belirlenerek gerek siyasi gerekse yaşanan Covid-19 pandemisi gibi her türlü senaryoya hazırlıklı
olunmalıdır. Bu nedenle öncelikle sektörün geçmişi ve gelişimi ortaya konmalı, 2020 yılı içerisinde
yaşanan salgının sektör üzerindeki etkileri incelenmeli, alınması gereken önlemler ve yapılması
gereken yenilikler belirlenmelidir. Küresel dünya ekonomisinde bu tür salgınların yinelenmesi
halinde olabilecek krizlerin sağlıklı yönetimi, mevcut duruma uyum sağlama ve dünyadaki doğal
taş ihtiyacına sürdürebilir bir şekilde cevap verebilen bir sistem oluşturulmalıdır. Bu çalışma kapsamında
doğal taşın ülkemizdeki durumu kısaca analiz edilerek gerek sağlık gerekse ticari anlamda
küresel ölçekte tüm dünyayı olumsuz etkileyen Covid-19 pandemisinin Türkiye doğal taş sektörüne
etkileri incelenmiş olup ilerleyen yıllar için bazı değerlendirme ve önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
When developing and innovating in the economic environment in Turkey examined indicators in
recent years, ıt is observed that the acceleration caught by the natural stone industry and its share
in total mineral exports have increased steadily. For the continuation of this positive picture, the future
projection of the sector should be determined well and prepared for all kinds of scenarios such
as the political and the Covid 19 pandemics experienced. For this reason, firstly, the history and
development of the sector should be revealed, the effects of the epidemic on the sector should
be examined, the measures to be taken and the innovations to be made should be determined. In
the global world economy, a system should be established that can adapt to the current situation
and sustainably respond to the need for natural stones in the world, for the healthy management
of crises that may occur if such epidemics recur. In this study, the situation of natural stone in our
country was briefly analyzed. It needs all over the world on a global scale as well as in the commercial
sense adversely affect the health effects of Covidien-19 the natural stone sector in Turkey were
examined pandemic. Some evaluations and suggestions have been made for the coming years.
