This paper explores the role of the local municipalities in the process of urban regeneration. It specifically focuses on the impact of urban regeneration policies on social and physical Characteristics Seven local municipalities are chosen for this purpose. The chosen municipalities have different physical, social and political structures as well as different types of projects. The evaluation of the municipalities will be based on the interviews with the managers of the projects. The results will be discussed in terms of main finding.
