CLIMATE CHANGE AND SOIL-PLANT-ENVIRONMENT INTERACTIONS, K. Bellitürk et al., Editör, İksad Yayınevi, Ankara, ss.409-435, 2023
Sewage
sludge consists of nutrients, heavy metals and organic compounds. The usage of
sewage sludge in agricultural fields will reduce the negative effects on the
environment and will promote soil productivity hence plant growth. For this
purpose, four doses of sewage sludge obtained from Çanakkale Municipality
Sewage Treatment Plant (a control dose where no sewage sludge is applied, the
maximum dose permitted, half of the maximum dose, twice of the maximum dose)
have been combined with the agricultural soil taken from Dardanos Campus, and British
grass (Lolium perenne) has been grown.
