Veriler çevrimiçi anket yoluyla toplanmış olup elde edilen veriler SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) 30 istatistik paket programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan analizler sonucunda, grupların farkındalık düzeylerinin düşükten yükseğe doğru öğrenciler, idari personel ve akademik personel şeklinde olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
The concept of sustainable development was adopted globally at the Stockholm Conference in 1972 and the Rio Summit in 1992. In the Brundtland Report, this concept is defined as development that meets the needs of the current generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Awareness of sustainable development is of great importance in terms of protecting natural resources, balancing economic growth and increasing social welfare. Increasing the level of education of the society will increase the perspective and sensitivity towards issues related to the future. Higher education institutions have an important role in increasing the level of education of the society as they are institutions that provide high level education. Therefore, including sustainability in the education and curricula of these institutions, conducting research and innovations that support sustainable development, cooperating with other institutions in adopting environmentally friendly policies, taking initiatives to create a sustainable campus model and raising awareness in this way will increase the awareness and consciousness of individuals towards sustainable development. In this study, it was aimed to determine the awareness levels of academic and administrative staff and students in higher education institutions towards sustainable development. The research covers academic and administrative staff and enrolled students at Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University. The data were collected through an online survey and analyzed using the SPSS 30 statistical package program. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the awareness levels of the groups were in the form of students, administrative staff and academic staff from low to high.
