Özet

With this study, position of women in terms of labor context is being questioned. An overall assessment is done on apparent and unseen images of women labor in the adventure of women and labor since the development of Turkish cinema. Especially in the Findings part, a macro study has been carried out on women and work concepts in Turkish cinema in the context of women and labor from Yesilcam to today. It is seen in this assessment that when woman enters working life, the society either puts her in sacred professions such as teaching, or professions that are seen as lust indications such as factory worker, janitor, sex worker or singer. The most prestigious work of women has been displayed as housewifery and motherhood. Although woman had been active in working life with 1980s, this woman on the screen, who became free from patriarchal oppression, was isolated and made unhappy. And in the last part of the study; from the framework of labor production perspective and feminism concepts; position of woman in New Turkish cinema in terms of labor, three films that have recently been filmed and put working woman in the center of the Zerre film has been tried to analyzed and to be understood. Forementioned film has been analyzed by decoding traditional building processes of transferring women from feminist representation to cultural representation by reading antagonist and converting elements of feminist film criticism again in the framework of feminism conceptual. It is seen in this analysis that cinema in Turkey still does not free women, still subjects women to traditional woman coding, otherwise condemns women to unhappiness.
