Müzik, yüzyıllardır bir bilim dalı olarak kabul edilip değer gören, sanat boyutunun yanında eğitimsel ve kuramsal boyutlarıyla da bilimsel tartışmalara konu olan bir olgudur.
Günümüzde müzik ve müzik alanı ile ilişkili çalışmalardaki artış ve çeşitlilik sayesinde müziğe bakış açısı değişmekte ve müzik bilimi aynı oranda güçlenmektedir. Müziğe dair sorulan her soru bir hipotezi, her hipotez bir araştırmayı ve her araştırma bir kuram ve olguyu destekleyerek önerilerle yeni çalışmalara kapılar açmaktadır.
İçinde bulunduğumuz olağanüstü pandemi sürecinde, müzik sanatı ve eğitiminde yeni arayışlara giren on iki yazar bir araya gelerek alanlarına dair çalışmalarını kitabımızda özveriyle sunmuşlardır. Kitapta müzik sanatı ve müzik eğitimine ait on bir bölüm yer almaktadır. Kitap, müzik eğitiminden müzik teorilerine, müzikolojiden orkestra şefliğine kadar oldukça geniş bir konu yelpazesine sahiptir. Çalışma, başlığı ile de ilişkili olarak müziğin farklı alanlarında araştırma yapan bilim insanlarının ilgisini çekecek çeşitlilikte olup, bilimsel anlamda konulara akademik bir bakış açısıyla yaklaşmış bölümlere yer vermektedir.
Müzik Sanatında ve Eğitiminde Çağdaş Yaklaşımlar-I adıyla ortaya çıkan kitabımızda emeği geçen tüm yazarlara teşekkür eder, uzun soluklu bir kitap serisi halinde devam etmesi ve müzik alanına katkı sunmasını temenni ederiz.

Music is a phenomenon that has been accepted and valued as a science for centuries and has been the subject of scientific discussions with its educational and theoretical dimensions as well as its artistic dimension.
Today, thanks to the increase and diversity in the studies related to music and the field of music, the perspective on music is changing and the science of music is getting stronger at the same rate. Every question asked about music supports a hypothesis, every hypothesis supports a research, and every research supports a theory and phenomenon, opening doors to new studies with suggestions.
In the extraordinary pandemic process we are in, twelve authors who are in search of new searches in music art and education have come together and devotedly presented their work in their fields in our book. The book contains eleven chapters on the art of music and music education. The book has a wide range of topics from music education to music theories, from musicology to conducting. In line with its title, the study is diverse enough to attract the attention of scientists researching in different fields of music and includes chapters that approach the subjects from an academic perspective.
We would like to thank all the authors who contributed to our book, which was published under the title Contemporary Approaches in Music Art and Education-I, and we hope that it will continue as a long-term book series and contribute to the field of music.
