Abstract

Surgical treatment of aortic coarctation with cardiac pathologies in adults varies according to the type and position of the pathology. A 34-year-old man with coarctation of the aorta and calcific aortic stenosis underwent simultaneous correction of both lesions through a median sternotomy. The operative technique was evaluated with a literature review.
