Özet

The development of new electrode materials that can offer high energy density, fast charge-discharge capability, and long cycle life is of great importance in energy storage technologies. In this context, porous organic polymers (POPs) stand out as remarkable candidates due to their tunable structures and functional diversity. In this study, a new porous organic polymer (POP-TPP) was synthesized by quaternary cross-linking of a 1,3,6,8-tetrapyridinopyrene (TPP) unit with 1,4-bis(bromomethyl)benzene. Electrochemical analyses showed that POP-TPP has a narrow electronic band gap and exhibits efficient charge transfer properties. POP-TPP-based electrodes were tested in an H-type cell and an assembled symmetrical supercapacitor device. A specific capacitance of 772.6 F g-1 was obtained at a current density of 1 A g-1 in the H-type cell and 340.6 F g-1 in the device configuration. Furthermore, the device exhibited an energy density of 62.6 Wh kg-1 and a power density of 704.1 W kg-1, demonstrating high cycle stability with 92% capacitance retention after 10 000 cycles. These results demonstrate that POP-TPP is a high-performance energy storage material exhibiting hybrid behaviour.
