Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı amatör futbolcuların boş zaman aktivitelerine katılımlarının demografik değişkenlere göre incelenmesidir.
Yöntem: Araştırmaya 2023-2024 futbol sezonunda; Çanakkale ilinde 3352 oyuncu arasından Basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemiyle 401 amatör futbolcu katılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Boş zaman aktivitesine katılım ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde; tanımlayıcı istatistik ve gruplar arası farklılıkların ortaya konması adına Kruskal- Wallis testi uygulanmıştır.
Bulgular: Elde edilen sonuçlara göre, amatör futbolcuların yaşlarına ve gelir durumlarına göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmiştir. Yaş değişkenine göre 33 yaş ve üzeri amatör futbolcuların etkileyici ortama sahip aktivite, üretici aktivite ve estetik aktivite alt boyutlarında boş zaman aktivitesine katılım tercihlerinin daha yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Benzer şekilde gelir durumu değişkenine göre 33 yaş ve üzeri amatör futbolcuların da sosyalleştirici aktivite, etkileyici ortama sahip aktivite, üretici aktivite ve estetik aktivite alt boyutlarında boş zaman aktivitesine katılım tercihlerinin daha yüksek olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır.
Sonuç: Amatör futbolcuların yaş ve gelir düzeyi arttıkça aktivitelere yönelik katılım tercihleri artmaktadır.
Purpose: The aim of this study is to investigate the participation of amateur football players in leisure activities based on demographic variables. Method: The research was conducted during the 2023-2024 football season, with 3352 players from the province of Çanakkale, and a sample of amateur football players was selected using simple random sampling. The data collection tool used in this study was the Leisure Activity Participation Scale. Descriptive statistics and the Kruskal-Wallis test were applied to analyze the data and identify differences between groups. Results: According to the results, statistically significant differences were found based on the players' age and income levels. Regarding the age variable, it was found that amateur football players aged 33 and above had higher participation preferences in leisure activities, specifically in the sub-dimensions of stimulating environment activities, productive activities, and aesthetic activities. Similarly, for the income variable, amateur football players aged 33 and above showed higher participation preferences in socializing activities, stimulating environment activities, productive activities, and aesthetic activities. Conclusion: As the age and income level of amateur football players increase, their preferences for participation in activities increase.
