Abstract

In this research, it is aimed to examine the opinions of teachers in different branches related to design thinking structure which is one of the current educational approaches.For this purpose, the case study method which is one of the qualitative research methods has been used. The study group consisted of 32 teachers from 15 different branches working in primary, secondary and high schools.The application period of the study lasted 12 hours in 3 days (4 hours per day) in the fall semester of 2018-2019 academic year. Within the scope of the research, semi-structured interviews were conducted with teachers about design thinking education. The reliability of the study was made by using Miles and Huberman’s (2015) formula the researcher and the opinions of the expert’s was 92% and 95%.As a result of the research, teachers want to contribute to their professional development and learn the design process. The teachers stated that they learned the design thinking approach, stages and the process. They stated that they had difficulty in empathizing, generating ideas and time planning.
