Abstract

We demonstrate the successful preparation of stable liquid marbles using micropowders of low-surface-energy perfluoroacrylate homopolymer poly(Zonyl-TAN) which were prepared by radical polymerization in a homogeneous scCO2 medium and water and hexadecane as marble liquids where placed on water to float. We also calculated the effective surface tension of liquid marbles by applying the maximum marble height method
