Özet
Communication about the end-of-life stage is widely recognized as the most challenging among all communication scenarios. This includes discussing diagnosis and prognosis, treatment goals, end-of-life wishes, goals of care, and plans. Research has identified essential skills for conducting these conversations, and protocols have been developed to assist those addressing these critical topics. Professionals from various fields are often needed to ensure the effectiveness and thoroughness of end-of-life communication. This chapter examines the skills and techniques necessary for productive and efficient end-oflife discussions, highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary approaches in these conversations.
