| The need for energy is constantly rising due to our nation's fast growing population. In an effort to minimize dependency on fossil fuels and attain cleaner air, there is a growing trend towards natural gas, a clean fuel. This study looks at how the Edremit District of Van Province's air quality changed when natural gas usage was implemented between 2017 and 2022. The rising demand is also being fueled by natural gas's affordability and ease of use in comparison to other fuels. Changes in land use and land cover were examined using Corine data spanning the years 2012 to 2018. Sentinel-2A satellite photos from 2018 to 2022 were classified in order to identify any changes that occurred over these years.
