Umut Mucan completed his high school education at Satukova High School, located in Çaycuma, Zonguldak. He earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Department of Biosystems Engineering at Bursa Uludağ University. During his master's studies, he worked as a scholar in a TÜBİTAK 1001-funded research project. In 2018, he began his Ph.D. studies at the same department and was awarded scholarships from both the YÖK 100/2000 Ph.D. Scholarship Program and the TÜBİTAK 2211 National Ph.D. Scholarship Program. In 2020, he was appointed as a Research Assistant at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. He successfully completed his doctoral degree in 2024 and currently continues his academic work as a Doctor Research Assistant at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University.
