Abstract

The study focuses on the level of suitability according to teachers and experts in the integrations of objectives in Turkish science and technology, and mathematics curricula in primary school 4th and 5th grades and whether there are other objectives that can be integrated. The study group is composed of 12 fourth-grade teachers, 14 fifth-grade teachers. Two assistant professor doctors and a research assistant participated to the study as experts. Surveys, one for 4th grade and one for 5th grade, were reviewed by the experts. The aim of the surveys was to investigate the suitability level among objectives in 4th and 5th grade science and technology, and mathematics curricula. The obtained data showed that associations in objectives between science and technology, and mathematics curricula were suitable; however, there were other objectives that could be integrated besides these associations. Furthermore, the findings revealed the topics in the 4th and 5th grade science and technology, and mathematics curricula among which integration was possible.
