Biography

During my PhD, I worked on the pomological and biochemical development and aroma metabolism of olive fruit during maturity. Afterward, I continued my studies on olive fruit ripening and olive oil quality.

I work as an Assistant Professor in the Horticulture Department of Agriculture Faculty at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (COMU) and also as an academic supervisor in the Olive Oil Analysis Laboratory of COMU Science and Technology Application and Research Center (COBILTUM).

In addition, when my CV is examined, it can be seen that I have not only worked on olives, but also on significant fruit species such as apple, peach-nectarine, apricot, pear, persimmon, pomegranate, grape, as well as minor and local fruit species such as Arbutus unedo, Prunus spinosa, hawthorn.

My researches in these fruit species is not only on pomological characteristics but also on biochemical processes such as post-harvest and aroma components.
