Dr. Çiğdem Nilüfer Umar has been working as an educator for thirty-three years. He has been continuing the last 15 years of this period on the education of gifted and talented individuals and the support of their families. He received his PhD degree from Istanbul University Institute of Educational Sciences in the field of Gifted Education. He has continued his studies as a visiting scholar with scholarship at the University of Arizona, the University of Iowa and the Universities of Georgia. In 2017, he was awarded the “Best Private Researcher of the Year 2017 Award” at an international congress held in Jerusalem, Israel. Currently, he is working as a faculty member at the Department of Special Education of the Faculty of Education of Çanakkale March 18 University. There are many articles and book chapters in the field of education. Research and study topics include; education of the gifted and talented, creative thinking and development, creative problem solving skills for the future, talent identification and management in organizations, learning disabilities and creative reading Dec. He is actively working in many national and international educational platforms and foundations. He has worked as a project manager, supervisor, researcher and consultant in scientific projects within the scope of TUBITAK, ISTKA, Ministry of National Education on children, disadvantaged children, gifted people, managers, creativity. Umar, which carries out projects for individuals with disabilities and their families within the scope of social responsibility projects, also carries out projects for the education of individuals with autism within the scope of the EU, Erasmus+. The American Psychological Association (APA) has brought the publications of the Department of Gifted and Talented to our language. European Council for High Ability (ECHA)_ Member of the European Council for Highly Gifted Children, World Council for Gifted and Talented Children_ Member of the World Council for Gifted and Talented Children, Future Problem Solving Program international_ is the Arizona State assessor of the International Future-Based Problem Solving Program. Combining his hobby of learning languages and experiencing living with different cultures with his hobbies of amateur photography, acting and amateur writing, Umar has made it his mission to meet and touch the lives of women and children in different geographies (Nepal, India, Palestine, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia). It supports both children and their families to maintain life as peaceful and healthy individuals with the talents of all children on Earth.
