Professor Dr. Ünal KIZIL After completing his undergraduate studies in the Department of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation, Faculty of Agriculture, Uludağ University in 1996, he started his graduate studies as a Research Assistant in the Department of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation, Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences, Uludağ University. He completed his master's degree in 1999 with his dissertation entitled "Ventilation Approaches for Dairy Barns and Case Study For Bursa Region"
After completing his master's degree in 1999, he worked as a visiting research assistant at the Department of Agriculture and Biosystem Engineering at North Dakota State University in the United States to work on agricultural waste management in livestock barns. In 2000, she started his PhD studies in the same department as a Research Assistant. In the last year of his doctoral study, she lectured on animal shelters and agricultural waste management. In 2003, he received his PhD from North Dakota State University with his thesis titled ”Development of a Software Program for Feedlot Hydrology / Nutrient Management and GIS Database for North Dakota”.
From 2004 to 2007, he worked at Dickinson Research and Extension Center, North Dakota State University, as an engineer on livestock barns and waste management. He worked as an R & D engineer in Elinsan Environmental Technologies Inc. between 2007 and 2009. He, then, served assistant prof. in Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Biga Vocational High School between 2009 and 2011. He has been working in the Agricultural Structures and Irrigation department of same university as a professor.
