Biography
Tolga Bekler received a B.S. in geophysics from Istanbul Technical University in 1992 and a M.S. and Ph.D. in geophysics from Bogazici University Kandilli Observatory and
Earthquake Research Institute, Turkey in 1996 and 2002. He worked as a
research assistant and geophysical engineer in department of geophysics at Kandilli
Observatory and E/Q Research Institute (KOERI) from 1996–2005. Since then he has been working at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Geophysical Engineering and presently as an assistant professor doctor. His primary research interest includes the study of active source seismology, seismic refraction, crustal modeling and earthquake hazar analysis.
